We are grafted into the greatest story of love, wherein the God of the universe continuously drives up blooms from the field of lament through the ebbs and flows of death and resurrection.
Hi, my name is Anna-Marie. I’m a writer and poet who has been grafted into the greatest story of all time. I’m a Narrative Heir, sharing the ways God has chosen to author and perfect my faith. I’m writing a Christian fantasy book, which I’m excited about and hope to share soon! Currently, I use this platform to share my poetry, reflections on life, and occasionally share some book recommendations.
Hebrews 12:2 tells us that Jesus is the Author and Perfecter of our faith. Being grafted into the story of the Gospel implies that we get to see, with eyes of faith, how God brilliantly weaves the theme of death and resurrection into our lives. After all, Ephesians 2:10 tells us that we are God’s poetry!
Join me as I write about and explore the continual ebb and flow of death and resurrection in life. Let us ever be learning from the Holy Spirit, who illuminates truth. Let us experience the goodness of God, who reveals His glory as He drives blooms from the field of lament, making beauty from ashes, creating joy in the waiting, teaching faith and hope while He takes us deeper in His love if we allow Him.
For knowing Him is the reward of Jesus’s suffering.
I’m also a nerd. I’m a staunch Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, and Lemony Snicket fan. I really enjoy reading mysteries, psychology books, and autobiographies. I enjoy photography, going for long walks, listening to birdsongs, baking/cooking, and thinking. Shallow conversations bore me (lol, I’m an INFJ) so you can expect my writing to explore the depths of ideas or the complexity of characters.
My tattoo says “Hope Against Hope” (Romans 4:18) in elvish because it’s a personal promise the Holy Spirit has continuously shown me through crazy signs and wonders. One day, I’ll share the story, but for now, I wait in joy…
^ This song explores the idea of being a Narrative Heir. Shout out to Brooke Poindexter for this awesome album.
ALSO, speaking of book recommendations, if you need a good book to read, 10/10 recommend Evil and the Justice of God by N.T. Wright.
