III. Setting a Table for Truth
A poem on setting a table for truth
Trample on a Valentine's rose, Discard the pearl to the swine, Pull the wick from the candle, Add dirt to the champagne- Then you will know, in part, The cost of truth’s words. So take the darting knives, Carry the boiling pots, Pick the splinters from the Table and set the plates- Then you will know, in joy, The value of truth’s worth.
